ABOUT USGreets all and welcome to Incite - Thorium Brotherhood's premier Horde players guild! Incite is a wily and uber-friendly guild of WoW players whose main goal is to explore the World of Warcraft and have fun doing it. No drama, no stress and no elitist expectations. Whether operating in Azeroth, Outland, or Northrend - our members make every gaming adventure a party among friends!
Incite has been around for years. We are not a counter-culture, underground operation or splinter faction. We are simply a collection of fun people who play hard, but know where World of Warcraft ends and real life begins. While a less than life-altering approach to playing WoW may not be for everyone, it is for us. Mixing it up with fellow guildmates in a relaxed and entertaining environment is what we do. If you play for the love of the game, you'll enjoy playing with Incite.
Our mission statement:- Be honest: no hidden agendas
- Be fair: all members are treated equally.
- Be fun: adventure, camaraderie and entertainment are why we play.
- Be there for each other.
- Do it right. If it's not right... make it right.
HOW WE GOT HEREIn the past, Incite was renowned throughout the realm as uber-raiders. In their prime Incite's elite raiders had a keen focus on 20 and 25 player content and were constant contenders for the server's #1 raiding guild ranking. But alas life would get in the way for some while others would experience burnout; making it difficult to field all-Incite raiding parties.
So many of the elite raiders moved their ubertoons to other servers, but still maintain and play their alts here. When asked what they enjoyed most about Incite, their overwhelming responses were "the people." And THAT is why we are
here, thriving and continually growing.
WHERE IS HERE?We have reformed our charter and returned to our roots - a simplified adventuring platform whose primary objective is enjoying the company of friends while immersing ourselves in an online
game. We play hard. We play fair. We play together as we advance through content, and we have a good time doing it. No elitist attitudes and no pressure to be perfect. Be it PvE adventures & dungeons, PvP WG, Arenas & BGs, randoms, holiday boss farming or all-out raids; our prime directive is to enjoy playing the game - stress free.
Wednesday, Friday & Sunday evenings are end-game progression nights. Monday and Thursday evenings are our open "whatever" runs, while Tuesday evenings are devoted to farming the raid weekly followed by gear and achievement farming Margarita Runs. Sunday through Thursday our coordinated events run from 7pm until 10pm server, while Fridays and holidays typically go from 7pm server until we all drop. Server time for Incite is U.S. central standard time.
One aspect of the game we continue to take seriously ::
insert wink here :: is our commitment to Horde faction supremacy. In other words... Alliance raids! A typical activity following guild meetings, we truly enjoy carving up the continents - raining as much terror on our Alliance foes as we possibly can.
ANCIENT FAMILY RECIPE - LOOT RULESThe World of Warcraft game on certain levels mimics real life society in microcosm. Most notable are the desire to attain wealth and the development of interpersonal skills. The more wealth and power one attains, the higher up the ladder one climbs. Personal conduct plays a major role in this as fairness, cooperation, and empathy for other people's needs begats camaraderie. Camaraderie becomes teamwork which in turn enables successful runs. Successful runs mean phat lootz! Thus, our "plays well with others" culture leads to greater riches for everyone.
In WoW as in life, loot is not power. Loot is a tool. Power comes from the ability to use the tools properly and most effectively. This is what breeds success rather than failure, and distinguishes winners from losers.
So Incite has loot rules that apply to everybody: high, low, weak and powerful. We do not discriminate or give preferential treatment to anyone. Should a drop happen that a character needs, then the player needs it. If more than one player needs it, then there's a roll-off... pure and simple.
Definition of NEED - For those of you scoring at home... If a drop is (a) primary gear for the spec you are playing and (b) better than what you have on, then it's a need. If no one needs on a drop for their primary spec, we'll then roll for needs on secondary specs. If a drop makes it past being needed then it's greed-rolled - winner's option to either keep it or have it sharded for mats if there's an enchanter in the party.
Now, there may be exceptions here or there. Like when a player has been skunked all night and the party votes to just give them a drop. Or when a party makes a prearranged DE run, or a gear run for alt builds, or twink runs, or whatever... Our members are free to take care of each other. Regardless of scenario,
it's all about fair play.
RULES OF CONDUCTIncite's officers are all outstanding people, strong leaders, serious doers and share a common bond: our commitment to the members and their gaming enjoyment. We are also an even-handed constabulary, here to protect and serve our members by upholding the Rules of Conduct. Incite's rules of conduct are fairly simple: treat everyone like family, treat everyone like equals and treat everyone with the utmost respect.
Incite expects it's members to be of high Character, Honesty and Integrity. Players who possess and practice these traits have a positive attitude and are fun to be around. Fun people with a positive attitude are people we want to invest our precious time playing with.

Conversely players with bad, disruptive attitudes will be dealt with fairly and expeditiously; possibly leading to future non-invites - or worse if they are bad or disruptive enough.
Belligerence, defamation, narcissism and prejudice are not tolerated. Incite's leaders have well deserved reputations as friendly, helpful and easy going people. But we are also not afraid to make command decisions that will benefit our members.
Having said that, playful bantering is not only acceptable but always encouraged! Just no flaming, prejudice or condescendence. This applies to in-game text and Vent chat, as well as in our forums.
In closing, please allow us to reiterate one last time what Incite's policy is on preferential treatment...
NYET! Our elite players are expected to set examples for fair and proper gaming: to teach their successful techniques, to spread their wealth of knowledge and to influence good conduct practices. Our best of the best help others become better, not arrogantly stand at the head of a loot line.
